Take the B6165 Ripley Road out of Knaresborough. After approx ½ mile, look out for Netheredge Drive, on the left. Parking for Appleby Carr is then almost immediately on the right, pulling off the road onto the verge. 20m on, walk through the five-bar gate named Appleby Carr Lodge and follow the right hand hedge until reaching the green metal gate leading into the lake area.
