Appleby Carr

Brief description of fishery:

A three-acre stocked lake providing good game fishing sport throughout Autumn, Winter and Spring months.

Special Rules

Fly only, single fly no larger than #10. The use of barbless hooks is encouraged.

Members and guests are limited to taking one brace of fish in any one week.

No more than eight anglers at any one time. All anglers must sign in and out and record their catch in the book provided in the box. Nil returns are requested.

Cars must not be driven into the field. Please park alongside the road.

No dogs allowed.

Take the B6165 Ripley Road out of Knaresborough. After approx ½ mile, look out for Netheredge Drive, on the left. Parking for Appleby Carr is then almost immediately on the right, pulling off the road onto the verge. 20m on, walk through the five-bar gate named Appleby Carr Lodge and follow the right hand hedge until reaching the green metal gate leading into the lake area.
